Also coming from Jolly ‘Ole to add some extremely tasty guitar work was LAG BIRKIR R GISLASON, yes, another native Icelander who met INGI in England. Scott played a plethora of instruments and Tom struck up the orchestra and in a month’s time, Ingi had himself a debut release that is truly stunning. The finished product surpassed everyone’s expectations and was as joyous to make as it is to listen to.

On one weekend, the two decided to do some sightseeing in San Francisco and Alcatraz Island was brought up as a destination. Scott suggested that when they get off the boat, they speak to a ranger and request to be put in the solitary confinement chamber. Having done it himself long ago – he recalled sitting in the most pitch black dark cell imaginable (with nothing but a hole in the concrete floor) and feeling “it was the 60 seconds that lasted forever.” He further suggested they bring a digital recorder into the cell and record themselves as they experience the terror of what it would be like to actually be sentenced to such a hellhole. Success! They did it! The recordings are absolutely chilling. It features INGI slowly going mad, complete with the hollow echo that only a prison cell can sound like. If you listen closely enough you would swear you hear ghosts of the prisoners who came before him and stayed.

Needless to say, the recording was spun into a song (aptly titled, NIGHTMARES) and worked brilliantly, thus making the first production to read: Recorded at TikiTown and Alcatraz Prison.
